the superimposition of text, information and colour creates an image. from close up these graphic images in the library can be read if one makes the effort; from a distance the carpets of text form horizontal typographical paintings that define the room. the idea of blending colour, orientation and art into a single form takes visible shape in the orientation system, which on the one hand displays the necessary colour-coded information and on the other presents a typographical image, woven from the works of n.c. kaser.
