to underpin the uniqueness of the logo design, a typeface was created for the institute – one that references the geographic location and its history. old typefaces were selected from the leipzig academy of fine arts archive and especially striking and beautiful characters extracted from these models were then re-interpreted. these have been incorporated in a specially developed sans-serif linear-grotesque which now affirms the institute‘s distinctive identity with every printed document and every online click.
