the roebuck is an appealing and unmistakable heraldic animal. it’s a familiar and popular figure, which is why it has been retained as the key visual element. the new drawing is businesslike but still has emotional appeal. the roebuck is leaping, is dynamic and this motion is a visual representation of the innovative and open style the community of rechberghausen has targeted. the new form of the buck has none of the severity of its conventional heraldic counterpart, instead becoming a friendly and eye-catching logo.
