dream team – museum haus löwenberg
typographical intervention
gengenbach, 2025
the museum‘s artistic director asked us for a „response to a manuscript dating from circa 1150“ for an exhibition. the selected page shows an excerpt from the sermon on the mount and our task was to design an extract from martin luther king‘s „I have a dream“ speech based on this. so far so vague.
nothing vague about the solution, though: we took six words from each of these sources and set them on two sheets of the same size, centre-justified and in the same typeface and font size. and lo: the two pages talk to each other and form a pair, one echoing the other.
